What is a Broth or Soup ?

Broth is used as a basis for a variety of meals such as soup, gravy, rice, risotto and sauce. It is a liquid consistency, typically made with either water or flavored stock, in which bones, meat, fish, or vegetables have been simmered.

Soup is a liquid food base, generally served hot but can also be served cold in some cases, that is made by combining ingredient such as meat, seafood, tofu, vegetable with stock, water, juice or other type of liquids. Various types of soups such as cream base, thickened soups, clear base, with & without particles. Soups are compared to stews, the only difference is that soups are generally more liquid that stews are.
